Jones Slow In The Clutch

Atlanta's Andruw Jones led the NL in home runs and RBI and is a prime candidate for MVP this season. Despite his success, Jones struggled with runners in scoring position in 2005 and posted the lowest batting average with RISP since 1974. Will this hurt his chances for the MVP?
LOWEST BA w/RISP by LEAGUE RBI CHAMPION, SINCE 1974
2005 Andruw Jones, Atl .207
1981 Eddie Murray, Bal .252
2004 Vinny Castilla, Col .256
1977 Larry Hisle, Min .260
1992 Cecil Fielder, Det .264

This is why nobody in Atlanta bothers to go to these games. The Braves have no heart. Andruw Jones is the A-Rod of the NL - lots of meaningless homers when the game is out of reach.

You would think that the monster "Turner Beers" would be enough draw for the Braves.

Hey Jeff...do you live in Atlanta? I do. How can you say Braves fans have no heart? Nobody bothers to go to the games huh? I have season tickets and i've never been to a game with less than 20,000 people. 20,000... yeah thats not that much huh?
Maybe more people would come out if AOL time warner wasn't ruining the franchise. And another thing... lots of meaningless homers...yeah right. We owe our 14th consecutive division title to him. And last... WHO CARES ABOUT RISP AVERAGE? The man led the league in RBIs! Why does it even matter what his RISP average is if he leads the league in RBIs anyway? Yeah, this is last year, but I'm still mad he didn't win. It's called most VALUABLE player for a reason. Who helps the team the most, not who has the best numbers. It just so happens that he does have the best numbers in homers and RBIs. Andruw saved us with his bat and his glove. Pujols is a better hitter, but St. Louis would've won their division without him. We wouldn't have won it without Andruw. He was the 2005 MVP.
