The Great Gilbo
Gilbert Arenas’ scoring average has improved each year since his rookie season in 2001-02. His scoring average in 2001 was a modest 10.9 points per game, a solid season for a rookie. This past season, his game reached new heights as he averaged 29.3 points per game. Should we expect another spike in scoring from Arenas? If so will it be enough to surpass the elite scorers in the league such as Kobe, A.I. and LeBron?
Arenas' game has also started to resemble that of Allen Iverson’s in respect to other statistical categories. Arenas and Iverson both put up fantastic numbers last year, although Iverson did do so in eight less games. They both shot .447% from the field and both attempted approximately 800 free throws for the year. These statistical similarities are a product of the style they share. Attacking the rim to create easy scoring opportunities is a staple of both their games. Arenas hauled in 58 more rebounds than Iverson, but Iverson distributed the ball to his teammates more successfully. For a player drafted with the second pick of round two, it's not bad to be compared side by side to one of the all time great small scorers.

Finally, some props for GILBO! He is so underrated. He should have been on Team USA.

I guess you did make some interesting points about the similarities between the two, but there is no way Gilbo could have taken Dikembe Mutumbo to the finals.
