Two of the American League's premier lefties squared off Thursday night, and for the first time in their six career matchups, the seasoned veteran outpitched the young buck. And won.

CC Sabathia was the ace in the Yankees’ 5-3 victory on Thursday, while David Price and the Rays absorbed their first loss in the six games.
