Rod Brind'Amour: Faceoff Stud

Not only does Carolina Hurricanes veteran Rod Brind'Amour lead the NHL with 618 faceoffs taken -- more than 150 more than any other player in the league -- he's the only one who has taken more than 200 and won at least 60 percent of them. Brind'Amour has a 60.2-percent success rate in the circle, and the next-best mark among players who have taken 200 faceoffs belongs to the Islanders' Mike Sillinger (59.1 percent of 417 faceoffs). Turning 36 this summer seems to have had little impact on Brind'Amour, who has 10 goals and 31 points in 22 games -- an average of 1.41 points a game. He's scored more than a point per game over a full season only three times in 16 NHL campaigns, and the last time was in 1995-96 with the Flyers. If he comes close to maintaining his current scoring pace, is it likely that Brind'Amour will top his single-season goal total of 37 with Philadelphia in '92-93?
