If the launch of PlayTheGame in July represented the next generation of fantasy football games - fantasy football 2.0 in online hipster parlance - then our ongoing programme of tweaks and additions represents the next release. Or fantasy football 2.1.
While the most visible change is the revamp of the league home page that makes it possible for managers to check their recent performance at a glance while also improving the presentation of several elements including each league's forum, it is the functional changes that will have our managers jumping for joy.
Chief among these is the recently added wrinkle to player eligibility whereby several players including Michael Essien, John O'Shea and John Arne Riise have crossed the defender-midfield divide and can now be played in their positions in midfield or defence.

Would it not be possible to implement a 'LIVE' draft that American Fantasy games implement? It will make the Player Allocation a lot more exciting in my opinion? Is this on the cards, or are we going to have to rank all of our players for next season as well?
PTG: A live draft is one of several developments we are hoping to introduce for next season so if that is your preference there is a very good chance you willnot need to rank your players.

A live draft sounds excellent, really hope that you'll be able to make that an option. If that is on the cards are you also considering the possibility for managers to trade draft picks?
PTG: Stan, that may be a step too far in terms of explaining it as a concept. In any case they would be called player allocation slots or something similar.

Noooo! we don't want a live draft! Ranking players is half the skill of playing this by far superior game of fantasy football! If it ain't broke don't fix it!!
PTG: Chris, holding a live draft will be optional so player will have a choice.

What is a live draft and how does it work?
PTG: Alan, a live draft or player allocation allows members of a league to log on at a pre-specified time and choose their teams. Managers choose players in a set order and are given a set amount of time to make their selection. The advatage of this approach is that managers are able to build a team and make selections based on what they perceive to be their teams' needs as opposed to the selection of the highest rated available player.

Following the "tweaks" to the league home page, I am no longer able to see our leagues Polls. I can set up a Poll from the admin page, but they are not then displayed. What has happened to them?

How long will it take for a player like Joey O'Brien be able to score points as a defender, now that he has started a game at RB?
