Scoring leaders

Premier League players and managers call it fixture congestion. Supporters see it as a testing time that can make or break a campaign. Meanwhile, our managers know it is the best time to PlayTheGame. Indeed with games being played two or three times every week, the managerial mettle of PTG managers will be put to the test in the coming month. With this in mind, we have produced a list of PTG scoring category leaders. Some of the listings offer little in the way of unearthing obscure talent but others such Successful Passes confirm the greatness of Cesc Fabregas and show that his closest fit challenger is Dietmar Hamann (this is the same midfield player whose goal for Germany at Wembley led to the end of Kevin Keegan's reign and ushered in the era of Sven-Goran Eriksson who is now on the same side as the German at Manchester City proving that the world of football is indeed a small one). Who knew?

Ben:

Now, I'm feeling smug I picked up Elano early this season.
