Four more

After another evening of Premier League fixtures, four more players made their debuts for their respective clubs. No doubt they are excited about playing in the Premier League, but wait till they find out they are now eligible to be picked by PTG managers! The new boys up for grabs are:

Daniel Sturridge - Forward (Manchester City)
Chris Gunter - Centre Back (Tottenham Hotspur)
Manuel Henriques Tavares Fernandes - Central Midifielder (Everton)
Milan Baros - Forward (Portsmouth)

reed:

Gunter is a LB and played LB. Thank you.

PTG: Chris Gunter has been given eligibility as a Left Back

Hannu:

add/release function does not appear to be working, please investigate

PTG: Thanks for raising this with us, we are investigating the error now. 09.33

PTG: This issue was confirmed fixed as at 10.41. Apologies for any inconvenience caused

BooHoog:

It's a bit late now seeing as the transfer window is closed but it kind of spoils a part of the fun if you announce every new arrival. I thought I had spied a transfer target but it was snatched from me when a rival read the bulletin.

PTG: Although the transfer window is closed, players get added to PTG once they have made an appearance for their new team. As a result, more players will be added to PTG over the coming weeks.

All new arrivals are announced to keep things fair. All managers have 48 hours from the time the player is added to PTG to stake their claim for the player. If more than one manager attampts to sign the player then the player is given to the manager who is highest in the notice priority list. Check the rules for more details.

BooHoog:

Is it possible to find out when a player was added and therefore when the 48 hour notice period will end? Is it possible to find out in what order the 4 players will be distributed? Thanks again.

PTG: There is no funtionality in the game at the moment that shows the specific time that a player was added. Each post that is added to the blog does have a time stamp though and we endeavour to post a message to the blog as quickly as possible after the players have been added so this should give you a good indication. The notice priority which comes into effect when two managers attempt to sign the same player within the 48 hour period is not visible at the moment, but is on a list of developments to be added.

Matt:

A good manager will have made note of any comings and goings in the Premier League and will be looking to add them to their fantasy squad. I'm agreeing with 'Boohoog' when I say PTG are just shouting out everyone new, rather taking away some of the skill of having a good current football knowledge, and those managers who earmark some players as soon as they have landed in the Premiership.

tumilty:

just so you know gunter is a right back not left back

Poop:

Why can't I pick up Hutton? (Spurs debut Saturday)

PTG: Hutton has been added this afternoon

reed:

"Chris Gunter usually plays at right-back but is also a competent player on the left." And he started as a Left Back for Spurs.

PTG: Gunter has LB status which is where he played for Spurs against Everton. Eligibility is only given on positions played in the Premier League.

reed:

Not questioning your work, I was just trying to wise up tumilty.
