Fantasy Formula 1

Although there is more than two months left of the football season, Times Online has launched a new fantasy game to keep you busy even when the football season comes to an end. For the F1 aficionados among us you can now register for and play the Fantasy F1 game at http://fantasyf1.timesonline.co.uk.

The Fantasy F1 game has a budget format where you have £100m to build up your team of drivers and constructors. Each driver/constructor has a financial value attributed to them and as the team manager you need to decide how to build your team to maximise your points scoring capability.

Signing the F1 big boys is going to cost you big money and reduces the number of other signings your remaining budget will allow you to sign. On the other hand, signing the more middle of the road participants (no pun intended!) allows you to spread out your points earning opportunity over a greater number of possibilities.

There are prizes for the performance over the season, on a race by race basis and for mini leagues set up with your friends and colleagues. The F1 season begins on March 16th 2008, so get yourself signed up and give yourself the best opportunity to build a team fit for pole position.
