Jack and Gil

Two more players have been given the opportunity to join the ranks of PTG by their Premier League managers. The following 2 players were added at around 16.40 GMT and are subject to the usual 48hour notice rule. To find out where you stand in the notice priority list, go to the 'Add/Release' tab under 'My Team' and click the blue link that says 'Notice Priority List' underneath the pending claims box.

Jack Rodwell – Centre Back (Everton)
Gilberto – Central Midfielder (Tottenham Hotspur)

Ryan O'Sullivan:

Surely Gilberto should be a left-back?

PTG: Good question, and one that the PTG team debated at length. Thus far Gilberto has only made one appearance in the Premier League coming on as substitute, but based on the fact he played a lot of games for Hertha Berlin at Centre Midfield and started there for Spurs in the UEFA Cup against PSV, we have added him as a midfielder. Other positional eligibility will be added as and when appropriate.

Phil Goldstein:

Gilberto started at left back for Tottenham against PSV!! And when he came on in the Prem league against West Ham he played left midfield.

PTG: Gilberto has been given Left Back eligibility

Andy C:

Gilberto isn't he predominently a left full back?

PTG: Gilberto has been given Left Back eligibility

Salman Rajput:

After watching last night's games I'm sure that Baros and Anelka provided assists with a couple of goals. This doesn't seem to be reflected.

PTG: In both cases of Jermain Defoe's second goal for Portsmouth and Joe Cole's goal for Chelsea, both players received the ball after a parry by the respective opposing goalkeeper, as a result the assist is not awarded to any player.

ARTHUR HENDRY:

why is it some or all the other managers in my league everton2 dont seem to do anything? im top by 7pts now but I dont think i have been challenged enough this way perhaps its too hard for them?come on guys try a bit harder.
