There has been some confusion over the addition of new players to PTG.
Up until the end of the transfer window on August 31st, players who are signed to teams within the Premier League are added to PTG each day. This has happened almost every day since the game launched in the middle of July and includes recent additions such as Djibril Cisse and Vincent Kompany. We do not generally make an announcement about the addition of these players as it is usually well publicised elsewhere.
The players that are added on a Monday are players that are not on our player list for whatever reason, but have made a start in the Premier League over the weekend - this is often because a fringe player or youngster has made the step up to the Premier League.
Please accept our apologies for any confusion caused by last week's post.

Can you also start removing players that have transferred out of Premier League clubs as they happen?
In the Out-Of-Contract Players list there are too many in there that are no longer playing at Premier League clubs and its hard enough scrolling through what little available talent there is (when playing in a bigger PTG league) without having all these superfluous names there.
Also you can't filter stats by Successful Passes like you can every other category.
Hope you can help.
Thanks.
PTG - As happened last year, players are not removed from lists after drafts have occurred so as not to invalidate PTG squads. The Successful Passes issue has been rectified.

I agree, players that have left the Prem should be removed up until Transfer deadline. You should be able to see how many teams have that particular player and if less than 10% then remove him that way only a few teams will be invalid and surely this should promote people logging in to PTG more frequently especially if you have a player and he has left the Prem!?!?!
PTG - Thanks for your comments, but the response to the previous comment above still stands. We will see if there is anything we can do to make it more obvious which players have left the Premier League.

Surely certain players can be removed, for example Ole Gunnar Solsjear, why is he still in the selection when he retired last season. James Beattie went to Sheffield Utd last season. Those players could go, no doubt there are further examples.
PTG - Players like Solskjaer and Beattie were part of last years game, but are not in this years player lists. If for some reason you are still seeing these players in your league, please use the 'contact us' functionality under the 'home' tab to alert customer services. Let them know the name of the league in which you are seeing these players.

Am I missing something here ?
Isn't PTG for those fans who wish to use their skill and knowledge to have more contol over their squad / team than other games where all the top teams have the same players.
Surely part of that skill and knowledge would include knowing who has left the Premier League, is out injured, not first choice etc.

Just one last thing, will pavlyuchenko not be added until he starts for tottenham?
PTG - As a new signing, Pavlyuchenko will be added to the game with all the other deadline day signings.

Do the new players in PTG appear in a special place, or just in the out-of-contract player list?
PTG - new players added to the game will appear in the out-of-contract list and the statistics page.

I read that R. Keane started on the left of midfield on Saturday, if this is the case will that position be added to the player?
PTG - At this time, we have decided not to awarded Robbie Keane any additional eligibility.

I must say i strongly agree with the comments made by bob h regarding removing players. Keeping up with all the moves players make is part of the game. Moving players that are no longer involved in the premiership will also remove alot of the intrigue of this game. Agree to this and the next request will be to remove all injured or suspended players. Keeping things as they are is the only way to keep this great competition the most superior of its kind.

Why is it that when you sign an 'out of contract player', sometimes he appears in your team immediately, and sometimes not for a day or two?
How will this work with the new signings on deadline day? if everyone requests Robinho within 48 hours, will he go to the highest in notice priority list?
Surely those that requested him first should get some preference?
PTG - An out-of-contract player will appear in your team immediately as long as he is not 'on notice' A player is on notice if they have been recently added to PTG or recently released by another team in your league. If more than one manager bids for a player during the notice period then the player will be awarded to the manager who is highest in the notice priority list. This manager will then move to the bottom of the notice priority list. It is only fair to give everyone an equal chance to bid for a player as not everyone is sitting in front of a PC all day.

Have you guys considered adding Disabled List spots to each team's roster in addition to the existing bench slots?
We have a number of players who are out for 3 months or more and the ideal would be to put them aside in a DL position so we can replace with another player.
PTG - This is not something we have considered, but thanks for your comment. We will take it into account when looking at further developments for the game.

Will Rory Delap be credited for his two assists on Sunday??
PTG - For the first Stoke goal, Delap did not receive an assist because after he threw the ball in, the ball took significant deflections off both the goalkeeper and a defender before it landed at the feet of Olofinjana. The second goal was declared an own goal by Jagielka and therefore no assist is awarded. For more details please see Clause 15.2 (b) of the game rules.
