What is this blog for?

A blog can have many uses, but for the team here at PlayTheGame this blog gives us a great place to publish news items regarding PTG that are of interest to all of our managers.

As part of the blog functionality we accept and encourage your comments, but it is important to note that the blog is not the ideal place to raise specific issues that you may be experiencing with your team, league or the game in general.

It is far better for you to contact our customer service team, who will be able to give you a far speedier and more accurate response than you are likely to receive by posting a comment on the blog. Our customer service team are also right at the heart of the game, so if there is an issue that needs investigation, they can begin this straight away. You can contact customer services by using the Contact Us functionality which is also available under the 'Home' tab or by emailing playthegame@stats.com - When contacting customer services please give as much detail as possible, including your league and team name where applicable.

If you have a general comment then feel free to reply to any of the comments and, more often than not, your comment will be published with a response from the PTG team.

Paul:

Should inactive teams be put out of the league and the players put in the out of contract list, discuss?

PTG - it has been discussed in the "Welcome Back" thread. Unfortunately, our previous answer stands: "In answer to your question there is no way for us to release players from inactive managers as we have no way of establishing whether a manager is truly inactive. We suggest using the in game email functionality to email users who you think are inactive to try and arrange a set time when all members of your league can broker deals for players in the 'inactive' team."

Johnny:

Ricardo Gardner played LM for Bolton over the weekend. Please could you add eligibility. Cheers.

PTG - Gardner has now been given LM eligibility.

barbara mellor:

If you think that advice will work you're living in Cloud Cuckoo Land!!!
