Pending claims for all leagues have now been completed. If you have any queries about the process please use the 'Contact Us' functionality under the 'Home' tab to raise it with customer services.
Due to the volume of players that were added to PTG on the 2nd September and the high profile nature of some of the signings, there has been a level of confusion about how the notice priority system works and how players will be allocated.
To simplify things on this occasion, we have decided to standardise the time that the players will be allocated, so that the 48 hour notice period expires at the same time for all players. This is of no disadvantage to any PTG managers.
The notice period for all deadline day signings added to PTG on September 2nd will be
19.06 BST on THURSDAY 4th SEPTEMBER
If you have put in multiple claims for players, you must list them in order of preference so that the player you want most is at the top of your claims listed on the 'Out-of-Contract Players' page under the 'League' tab.
There are two deadline day signings for which the above rule does not apply. These are David Di Michele and Herita Ilunga of West Ham. These players were signed by West Ham in time for the transfer deadline, but had to wait for work permit clearance. These players will be allocated to PTG teams at 19.25 BST on FRIDAY 5th SEPTEMBER.

Please explain the allocation process in more detail.
e.g. are you going to allocate players in some sort of order and the allocation to teams based on
a) order of preference (only taking into consideration those teams that have that player as their number 1 choice)
b) position in the notice priorty
c) once the first player is allocated, the order of preference is updated (to remove the allocated player) and the notice priority is also updated
If so the order of player allocation will change the player allocation to teams. As such managers may change their strategy/order of preference
So please explain as fully as possible the process/logic
Thanks in anticipation
PTG - There is no particular order of player allocation, players will be allocated to managers based on the notice priority list. If all 10 teams in your league have put Robinho as their most wanted player, the person who is top of the notice priority list will get Robinho. That manager will then move to the bottom of the notice list. Whoever is second in the priority list will then get the player who is next in their list, i.e. Riera because they cannot have Robinho as he is gone. If the manager who was second in the claim list had no further claims the process would move down to the third manager and so on.
This is a league specific process and will be slightly different for everyone depending on the players that have been claimed and the number of claims made for players. If all ten members of a league claimed the same three players, then only the three managers currently at the top of the priority list are going to get the players.

My questions concern the players being released during the notice claims process.
Firstly, is it possible to list more than one request where the same player is selected for release? For example, it's unlikely that a manager will be lucky enough to recruit both Robinho and Riera. Anticipating that he may get one but not the other, can that manager put claims in for both players but opt to release the same player, say Alan Smith, if the claim is successful? Obviously if the manger got his first choice then the second pick will be invalid because he'd no longer have Alan Smith to be released in exchange but I'd like to understand two things please: -
Will the FIRST pick be ruled invalid simply because Alan Smith is also listed in a subsequent notice claim? If it would be then managers obviously need to ensure that each claim they make lists a different player to be released.
If it is a manager's 'turn' in the notice priority list and his pick is invalid will the system move on to his next pick or will it pass to the next manager?
PTG - There is no issue with selecting the same player to drop for each claim you are making for an out of contract player. If your first claim is accepted then all other claims where you have selected the same player to be dropped will become invalid. If you get another turn to claim a player, the system will dismiss any invalid claims and process your next valid claim if one exists.

Is there any way of seeing which players are under notice from other managers within your league?
PTG - The short answer is no, it would be unfair for managers to be able to see what other managers were planning.

what order will you allocate the new players on the database?
i want robinho, the pavyluchenko, but do not know if you will allocate pav frst.
if you do, and i get him, i will be bottom of the priority list for robinho.
can you help?
PTG - As mentioned in the original post and replies to previous comments, allocations will be based on the priority list alone. If you are first in the priority list you will get the player you have at the top of your pending claims list. You will then move to the bottom of the notice priority list. If nobody else in your league has claimed any players then you will get your other claims as well, but in reality you will probably only be able to get one of the players that everyone is talking about. The key is to make sure you have ordered your pending claims in your order of preference, with your 'most wanted' at the top of the list.

Regarding the transfer day deadline signings.
Its not sour grapes, I did miss the opportunity to sign these new players. As, foolishly I presumed that as was the case last season, players who signed for the club were only made available for selection on PTG once they had actually played for the club. Is this not the case now? If so, why then has Manucho not been registered for selection? And why only 24hours notice period for all deadline day signings?
As I said, no sour grapes, but I bet I am not the only one who has asked these questions once finding about missing out on the players.
PTG - In answer to your questions
Players who were signed up to the end of the transfer window get added to the game automatically as was the case last year.
Manucho is a slightly different case as he actually signed in January 2008 but is yet to play for Manchester United.
All deadline days signings had a 48hr notice period as normal.
