It's hard to believe, but we're almost at the half way point of the season and that means it's getting close to the stage where we stop taking registrations and allowing leagues to be created for PlayTheGame 2008/09 season.
That means it's the last opportunity to get any vacant positions filled in those incomplete leagues or maybe you fancy starting a new league in which to compete for the rest of the season. Rumour has it that Paul Ince may be interested in joining a new team, as well as Keegan, Curbishley and Allardyce....
Either way, registration closes for the game on Sunday December 28th and the last league allocation will take place in the early hours of Wednesday December 31st.
Anyone who wants to advertise a league they have set up for a 'half season challenge' can reply to this post and we will publish the details accordingly.

Quick Q with regards to Jan transfer window. When would the players be added to pick up? after their 1st appearance or we can start picking them once the transfer has gone thru???
PTG - Please see new blog post regarding the January transfer window.

Hi, I am trying to find your league but haven't managed yet. Is it already full?
PTG - We have had a look and can't see the league either. Whoever sets up the league(s) will also need to inform users of the password used so that they can gain access.

hi i would like to set up a half season challenge....can u please advise what i should do? do i just simply create a league and a new team and invite my friends to join? (as long as it's b4 28th?)
PTG - You need to create a new team (you can have a maximum of 4 teams in PTG) and then use the 'League Creator' option to set up a league. You will need to set up a 'private league' and then let us know what the name of the league is and the password and we will publish it on the blog for other people to sign up.

We just set up a half season league with player allocation on 24 Dec. At this point in time there are only 20 games remaining in the season (22 for Man Utd) so why are there still 38 remaining starts available for each position? Shouldn't this only be 22 starts per position?
PTG - Setting up a league now is exactly the same process and functionality as setting up a league at the beginning of the season, so all positions in a newly created league will have 38 'plays' .
