The fun really starts tomorrow when the first allocations happen in the early hours of the 6th August (UK Time).
If you are a manager in a league with an allocation set for Thursday then you need to make sure that you put the finishing touches to your player list today, i.e. make sure you get Alonso out of your list!
Of course you don't have to add any players to your wish list, but if you don't and other managers in your league do, then you will probably end up with a weaker squad than you would have liked
For league chairmen who have created a league with an offline allocation, the functionality for you to create the teams for each of your league members will also be avaialble from August 6th.
Some points to remember when building your wish list:
Make sure you get a balance of playing positions in your wishlist – the system wont allow you to have a squad of 20 strikers
Don’t just look at the top of the list, new players, or those who had injuries or made their debuts last year will be further down the list.
The more players you put in your wish list, the more control you have over the squad you are allocated. Once all the players on your wish list have been allocated the system will revert to the remaining players on the full list.
Check the Rules and FAQs for more details on the player allocation process.

Exciting times! Can't wait to see who I get in the first couple of rounds and whether I'll be cringing or celebrating the result. Last year I took Fabregas and Defoe pretty early on in a 20-team league and their injuries pretty much ruined my season...so I guess whoever I get, we'll wait and see

If we're doing an offline draft using the snake system is there a way to ensure that the person drawn last is the first in line on the notice priority list?
PTG - This year, the chairman of an offline league has the ability to set the league priority list once they have marked their league allocation as complete. This will ensure that the league chairmen will have the opportunity to set the priority list order however they have agreed with their league. If no agreement has been made then league chairmen should enter the priority list in the picking order, so that if the allocation had continued past round twenty, the first manager to pick in round 21 would be the top of the priority list.

The Offline Allocation seems broken. Anytime I hit Save or Search for a player, it locks the team that I had been working on. Then any time I try to add another player it says they are already on the team. Am I the only one having this problem? I tried in both firefox and IE.
PTG - Apologoies to anyone who had any teething problems with the offline allocation input screens yesterday. All is working correctly now.

I have a query on a particular facet of match-day: once a player has played in a position, that position is locked for the rest of the day - why is this? That really screwed me over so many times last year (considering there is an almost weekly 1215 KO) - I wonder is there a possibility of changing this?
PTG - if you have a player in your active 14 players who plays for a team that is playing in an early kick off then that position will be locked down for the day from 2 minutes before the match kicks off. This is because that is the player who is going to score points for you in that position when the scoring procedure is run later that night so we cannot allow you to move playters into or out of that position until the scoring has run. This applies to all players once the match they are involved in has kicked off.

I cant find the list that shows who is first in line in case teams choose same player when he is added.
PTG - you need to go to the 'out of contract' link under the 'League' tab, where you will find a link for the notice priority list.

The allocation date for our league is currently the 16th of August which is after the start of the season, our league is full, is there any chance the allocation date can be brought forward so that we can participate in week 1 or will this happen automaticly?
PTG - If you are in a private league the date is controlled by the league chairman and he/she will need to change the allocation date.
For public leagues, allocation dates are set once the legaue has been filled and formed. The allocation date allows all managers enough time to rank their players.
Whilst we can understand that you want to play from the first week, unlike any other fantasy football game, missing the start of the season does not put you at a disadvantage because you are competing against the others in your league (who all start at the same time as you) rather than a cast of thousands in a massive league.
