Certain midfielders like Vincent Kompany who can play in defence earn DEF points. If I play this player in midfield, will the DEF points he earns be counted in the GK/DEf category and likewise if I play him in defense will his successful passes be counted in the MID/FOR category?
PTG - You will only get points based on the position you play him in, regardless of where he actually plays on the pitch. If you have him in defence, you'll get defensive points. If you play him in Midfield, you'll get midfield points.

Why did Rory Delap not get an assist?
PTG - Assists are not awarded for own goals.

Why can Rory Delap only play in CM or LM? Shouldn't he be able to play RM and RB aswell?
PTG - Any queries regarding player eligibility should be sent to ptg_eligibility@stats.com or by selecting the appropriate option in the dropdown on the 'contact us' form under the 'Home' tab.

Once a player has been taken off of your team because I have dropped him for a player on the Out of Contract list...how long until that player becomes available to be picked up by other teams.
PTG - A player who has been dropped from any team will be available on the out of contract list immediately, but will be subject to the 48 hour notice period and notice priority list.

i seem to have a lot of mediocre midfielders and only 3 forwards in my squad how do i go about putting this right?
PTG - You have a couple of options, firstly you can delve into the out-of-contract player list which can be found under the 'League' tab where you can add a player to your squad and nominate who you want him to replace from your existing 20 players.
Alternatively you can look to propose a transfer with another team in your league. Go to 'transfers and transactions' under the 'my team' tab and then choose 'propose a transfer' You can also offer to transfer two or more players to a manager in order to sweeten a deal!
Take a look at clause 16 and 17 of the Rules for more details.

Is there any way that you can see what players other teams in your league are trying to sign? And also, is there an actual list that you can look at to see which players are in the notice period?
PTG - It wouldn't be fair if you knew who other managers were looking to sign so we don't publish it.
There isn't a single place to find out if a player is on notice, but if you try to sign a player that is on notice you will be notified on your transactions page of the approx time he will come off notice. If the player is not on notice, he will be added to your team straight away unless Premier League matches are in progress.

I have a question about the scoring. Is the scoring added onto your current score every single game week or is it just game to game changed?
Basically if I have 77 points from this last week, and I get 100 more from this next week would I have 177 points or does it just adjust down vs my competition?
If it is week to week. How do I see what is considered a League WEEK for this league?
For instance half of my team isn't even playing this week. Does that mean I will get less points this week or should I trade out players so I can actually compete?
PTG - The league points reflects your season to date performance in relation to the other managers in your league. This is compiled on a day by day basis as and when matches are played. There are no 'game weeks'
You have 38 opportunities to score points for each of your 14 active playing positions throughout the season. If half your team is not playing during this week, it is not an issue as you will have the opportunity to score points from those players later in the season. For example Arsenal are not playing this week as they have been in Champions League action. The match they should have played will be played later in the season so you will be able to score points for players like Fabregas and Denilson at that point.
