Two new PTG videos - player ranking and offline allocations

We have added two new videos to the website to help new PTG managers with some extra information on how to PlayTheGame. Take a look at the videos explaining the automated player allocation and how to rank your players and what's required for an offline allocation.

Jason Bailey:

chairman of league needing help on adding players. Had an offline allocation and all the kit gave me was a list of teams and their players. How do I add the players to each team member in my league?!?!
Allocation is today! Aug. 11,2009 Season starts Saturday

PTG - providing that you have set the league up as an offline league and you are the chairman of the league then once you have logged in, you will have a link on your teams page to fill out the offline allocation.

Dan Squance:

My question is this. Can I play a team suited to Saturdays fixtures and then alter the team for Sunday? For example I have Anelka playing on Saturday vs Hull, after this game could I then change my team and put Berbatov in so as to pick up points in that position on the Sunday?

Many thanks.

Dan - Manager of Geoff Pudding FC

PTG - You can play different players on a Sunday compared to Saturday, however you need to remember that in this situation you will use up two of the positional plays available for the position. So if you did this every weekend you would find yourself in a position where towards the end of the season your positional plays may have been used up. Each of your 14 active playing positions can be used 38 times, i.e. the number of games in a Premier League season. The Forward positions are combined so these can be used 76 times between them. The same is true for Centre Midfield and Centre Defence

Danny:

Any chance of dirk kuyt having right midfield added to his postions?

Afterall, he had this last year and plays for Liverpool there too!

PTG - Further eligibility will be added as and when players start Premier League matches (at kick off) in alternative positions. Eligibility is always at our discretion but if you think a player deserves additional eligibility after a 2009/10 Premier League match, please use the 'contact us' form under the 'Home' tab and choose the appropriate option from the dropdown.
