Ideal time to join a league

As we sit through the first international break for the season, it gives us a bit of time to reflect on the Premier League so far and look forward to the next fixtures on September 12th. In PlayTheGame, managers can take stock of squads, identify areas of weakness, consider potential transfers and work out how to improve our league position.

For anyone up for a challenge it may also be an opportunity to think about joining a second, third or even fourth PlayTheGame league or maybe you are yet to take the plunge and need to get yourself into a league.

If you want to set up a league and advertise for like minded managers to join your league, or if you have a league with a few places left to fill then let us know the details including who you’d like to join your League, the name, password, league size and scheduled allocation date and we will advertise available leagues on this post.

Alternatively it may be time to look around at your friends and colleagues and persuade them to get involved in the most realistic fantasy football game or if you've just got back to Uni or college why not set up a league with your class mates to play in between lectures.

If you get involved now, you could be up and running by the time the season re-starts on September 12th and because of the unique nature of PTG you haven't lost anything by starting now.

Good Luck!

Trevor Teasdale:

looking for a leauge to join, one i'am in gone quiet, first year in, and wanting to get more involved, thanks Trev

Chris:

yeh i wana get involved in another league. Im currently only in a small one, and theres very little action going on. let me know if any new leagues need an extra manager!!

al:

Could certainly be tempted to join an average sized league 8-12 if there are enough takers

Trevor Teasdale:

Al i would join your leauge if you set it up, and am sure Chris would do to, we would have a week before the next games to see who else would be intrested, am sure there are others who are in leauges that are just standing still. would need a code to start it off. good luck

al:

I have actually joined a SuperLeague, just waiting for one more manager. If you've won a league previously join the Super League.

Trevor Teasdale:

Thanks Al. but 1st year in the league's. will keep on playing. Maybe next season, thanks again

Allan:

I would definately be interested in joining a league of 12-15 committed managers, even if it meant waiting a week or three to fill it. Superleagues are the right idea, but with only ten managers, It is not quite difficult enough. I am willing to be chairman of a 12-15 team league, but you must be committed!
league name 12-15 but serious
Password COYS
allocation date one week after the 12th member joins.
Let's be avin yer!

JB:

Am also struggling to find an active league with committed managers. Allan I couldn't find your league....... Have set up a 12 player league:

name: The September Cup
password: football1
date created: 7 September

Will do the allocation say 3 days after the last person regisers.

Trevor Teasdale:

Allan, willing to join your league, put in league name, but no responce to 12-15 but serious.do hope more join as i have 2 teams in the leagues and are very quiet. was looking for active league, good luck Allan with the league and come on you managers who are intrested in getting the best of thr game

al:

Any previous league winners out there who want to join a league go for the Super League. We are just waiting for 1 more manager to join.

Eddie:

Al...could you please post the details? I'm a previous winner ...already in three superleagues.

PTG - Each username can only be entered into one Super League. If you are eligible to enter a Super League, then the option will be available as the fifth option when you are choosing the type of league you want to enter. Super Leagues are filled and then formed when enough managers have opted to join one (each Super League has 10 managers)

Trevor Teasdale:

JB, have joined The September Cup league and have a mate who is intrested, Allan why not join up with JB, hope more join in and make it a strong league, active players only as it make's the game more enjoyable, thank's in good luck with the league JB.

JB:

Good stuff Trevor. Have got a few mates lined up as well... league numbers already up to 5 so looking good.

Ant Gee:

OuZi:
