Positional eligibility

The blog has been receiving lots of requests regarding players positional eligibility, so we thought it was a good time to reiterate how we deal with these requests.

There are a couple of ways to raise queries regarding position eligibility. You can either send an email to ptg_eligibility@stats.com or if you are logged into the PTG site then you can use the 'contact us' form under the 'Home' tab, making sure to select the appropriate option in the dropdown menu. Requests raised via the blog will not be actioned.

By using these methods to raise a request, the queries get sent directly to the people who can investigate and action any required eligibility.

When you have sent your request, you will get an automated response so that you know your request has been received, but you will not recieve an individual response.

To be considered for additional eligibility, a player must have started a Premier League game at the match kick-off in a new position, although the addition of eligibility is always at our discretion.

Read in the Briitish press that Bosingwa also played LB.
Will you make the necessary corrections?

PTG - Please take a look at this article if you wish to raise a query regarding positional eligibility.

Bill:

Thanks for the info.

Like a lot of others on here no doubt, I am very busy, so could you not post on here additional position eligibility allowances as and when they arise, in the same way you post new available players news.

PTG - There are no plans to start announcing the addition of eligibility, but we will bear this in mind when we look at ways to improve the game.

mohannad:

Dear Sir,
Darren fletcher scored twice for man u against man c. I had him as a right winger but i think he played center, do his goals count for my team????

PTG - Yes the goals count for your team. It doesn't matter where he plays in real life, he will be scored in relation to the position you have him in your team. All midfielders are scored on the same basis along with the forwards.

PhilBy:

I have a query re players who are eligible to play in both defensive and midfield/forward positions. Do all the stats count or is it only the stats that correspond with where the player has been placed by the PTG team for that match day?

PTG - Players will be scored based on where you have put them in your team. If you have a player who can play Left Midfield and Left Back, he will be scored as a defender if that is where you have him in your team and vice versa.

Bob:

Is there any way that I could compare my points total to that of other similar leagues?

PTG - This is not possible.
