I would like to ask you if it is an error awarding the assist for Arsenal's third goal against Spurs to Bacary Sagna. He already had an assist and the second assist awarded clearly got a touch from the Spurs keeper and defender before Van Persie got the ball to score. I would please like to ask for consistency on this matter as Darren Bent wasn't awarded a deflected assist and rightly so, or wrong if there isn't consistency.
PTG - Whilst the ball does get a touch from both the goal keeper and the defender, both deflections were not significant and the ball reached Van Persie, who was very clearly the intended recipient of the ball. If both touches had not occurred, the ball would still have ended up with him and so the assist is valid. This is in line with the game rules, which you can check for further clarification (Section 15.2b).
